Do you mean by that the Mosque in Granada, The Mosque (which was almost sold by them) in Norwich, or the Mosque in Cape Town. These mosques have always existed on fitna and the causing of dissention in Muslim communities. I think you have visited and met only with the elite, you have not met the local communities around the mosque and heard what happened to them at the hands of the Murabitun. You have not met any of the business people heard from them how they are being hoodwinked? Have you met the poor fellows, who are kept in the background to create a kind of “cosmopolitan” feel of an “integrated community,” which is really a clear divide of haves and have nots. I have it on good authority that the Mosque in Granada bring in a lot of money because of the carefully chosen Morrocan Imam, the one in Cape Town has Malaysian theme with some malaysian bankers supporting it, and the one in Norwich, originally arab funded remains in that void.

I visited the mosques of the Murabitun to finally see for my own self the silly/petty internet debates and scare mongering ppl were throwing at me against them when i was making my enquires of them.

Alhamdulilah who removed the Veils and everything became Crystal Clear then. However the one who removed the veil was Allah, not Murabitun, so you just feel special and thankfull that He chose you.

The text book definition of this post is Slander.

The punishment of which is decided by Allah. As the slanderer has done his deed in public so must the apology be done. However the Nafs/Ego which was the cause of this sin is reluctant to admit wrong no doubt. Seeing as the Ego must be nurtured into thinking it is “right”, liasing with people who also harbour grudges against the same Muslims is its way of dealing with the Sin it committed. However it is only a veil until the True Judgement comes.

Make Tawbah now before its too late. If others have harmed you and then you repeat that harm the fault lies in you - Not Murabitun. Allah will surely judge against them - and you.

You want us to think criticly of a Shaykh and the development of the English laguage, yet you start out your article with a scaving over simplification of an entire group of people ie. The Shi’a. Bravo, you the frist contradiction of my day.

With all the pointless sectarianism in the ummah these days, why not just fan the fire? Not like people are dying because of this.

And since was the full covering the milestone of a Sufi women’s accomplishment? correctly if I’m wrong, but dosn’t worldly detachment play some what of a larger role in this?

I personaly don’t agree at all with Abdul Qadir ideas about the gold dinar. I think it’s unrealistic and a waste of time. But your criticism dosen’t add much either.

so go pat your self on the back. Yay, you made a blog entry that pissed off alot of people. You must really feel like an intellectual now.

i have read much shaykh abdalqadir’s books and artcles and listened to his tapes. by Allah i learned so much from him that put my heart at ease and i say he has done so much for Islam and Muslims, and i met many of his followers in the united states, and i have been greatly impressed. Shaykh abdalqadir knows about islam and the west and therefore he is able to explain to us things that many other islamic scholars are hard-pressed to do.He knows how to confront the western’s schemes against dar-u-islam because of his extensive knowledge of the west.

So, brother in Islam, fear Allah, and cease and desist from slandering the Shaykh and other Muslims.It is really a disgrace to islander other muslims. I have nothing but love and respect and admiration for Shaykh Abdalqadir and the Muraboutin. May Allah give them and us forgiveness and success in this world and next.

When I was young and growing up in Somalia, my father taught us not to call fellow muslims nonbelievers; how can you call people who openly state that there is No God but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah is not a Muslim, even if they sin?

May Allah guide us and give victory to all the followers of our beloved Messenger, Muhammad, may allah bless him and give him peace.

From a book and articles i read Shaykh Abdalqadir Al-Murabit is 100% genuine.I intend to be his student from Nigeria;but people I contacted via internet would not reply;very frustrating for me.I know him through Dr.Thompson’s book:”DAJJAL”

Pls,who can help me convey my desires to either the Shaykh or Dr Thompson,or both?

This kind of slander does not supprise me in the least . All this slander and what have you done that is better than the murabitun? How many masjids and amirs have you set up? So many 1000s of people have embraced islam by the murabitun some of them very well known scholars and sufis one of them being hamzah yusuf hanson! who still has contact with them.

The world is in a right old mess and it sickens me when people have to resort to insults and slander in such a manner that it only makes the kuffar stronger.

The Murabitun are not perfect but one thing i can say is this, in all my years of being a muslim i have yet to meet a community of muslims to dedicated as the murabitun and with the help of ALLAH they have great success ameen.

Some comments you made about the Murabit movement on Umar Lee’s blog made me look up ‘murabit’ on your own blog.

This post of yours is quite shocking and seems to stand on either backbiting or slander.

“I have it on good authority that the person who supposedly did give him authorisation was himself not authorised.”

If you have it on good authority then why don’t you give the name of the person who told you this. If you can’t do that, then don’t make such denigrating accusations.

If a person can be judged by how he/she affects others, then looking at Aisha Bewley, Ahmad Thomson, (and I’m sure there’s many more that I’m not aware of but whose names could be added to the list) then the Shaikh is truly a good inspiration.
