I'd like to ask anyone who visits regularly to get a TypeKey pass, and use it when they come here. Comments from non-registered users will be moderated; anyone with a pass whom I know to be a bona fide commenter (and not a troller or spammer) will be put on auto-approval. I believe the system is working properly now; if anyone has any trouble, please tell me in the comments here or email me (the address is spelt backwards): ku.oc.oohay@ku_ojogidni.

Nice to see some moderation -- but will it really slow down the flame wars that occur in your comments?

Well, I'm not sure - the reason I use TypeKey is to allow real commenters to register so I can auto-approve them, while the morons are left on moderation. If they say something constructive, I might let it through; otherwise, they can find their own space.
I have a Typekey pass, so do I use that username in the Name field? I guess I'll find out now... Ann
ummabdullah: no, you click the "sign in" link, and follow the instructions. Then it takes you back to the blog, where you can add an URL if you want, and it'll put the name from your TypeKey profile at the bottom of your comment.
