What's the point of changing the time anyway? A pretty lengthy trial run. The best way would actually be the system that applied in WWII and you dislike: BST in winter and double summer time- the clocks pput forward two hours- in summer. This would save more lives and be more economical with energy. The prejudices of religious eccentrics shouldn't be made to affect the comfort and convenience of everyone else.
