One of my problems with the Left in general is that it tries to blame everything bad that happens in the world on right-wing (nationalist, fundementalist) forces. Hence you get people attacking Bush's foreign policy on the basis that it is inspired by Christian fundementalism which is of course completely false.

We also have the term "Islamo-fascism" coming originally from Trotskyist Christopher Hitchens.

What "fundementalist islam" has to do with Italien fascism (an ideology strongly rooted in the twentieth century european context) is beyond me. It's like everything bad must be right-wing in origin.

As Yusuf also mentioned I object to communists (Trotskyist or otherwise) characterizing themselves as democracy or human rights advocates.

Communism is by definition a dictatorship of the proletariat.

Off topic, but you might find an interesting topic being discussed over at Dhimmi Watch. Its about Western Reverts to Islam(scroll down four stories). Its pretty one sided, and it would be nice if some converts could answer some of the drivle being posted there.
