The State We Are In: new book from Amal Press
Amal Press has just brought out a new book, The State We Are In: Identity, Terror and the Law of Jihad in which Shaikh Hamza Yusuf, Shaikh Muhammad Afifi al-Akiti, Aftab A Malik, David Dadake (of George Mason University, Fairfax, VA), Yahya Birt, Suheil Laher and H. A. Hellyer (of Warwick Uni.) discuss last July’s bombings in London and examines what Islamic texts really say about such topics as suicide bombings and indiscriminate killing. A paperback edition is available for £7.95 (hardback £40).
Also, a new edition of Islamica Magazine has been released. It contains essays on the French riots, Katrina and other disasters, and the preservation of Islamic heritage, such as the houses of the Sahaba, including the Mothers of the Believers (radhi Allahu ‘anhum), in Makkah and Madinah.
