Don’t get me started on inconsiderate motorcyclists. They re as much a cause of grief for me as cabbies. Well maybe not quite. I’ve seen people pull the silliest maneuvers you could imagine; seemingly immune to any logic. And the same with cyclists; but the thing with them is there’s no license to be endorsed, and no recourse to punishment.

Salam alaikoum In Paris it is a well known fact that bike lanes are, well, parking. One of the more famous “parking” lanes is going down Boulevard Menilmontant from Pere Lachaise. Only have recently have police started ticketing offenders, not out of respect for bike lanes but probably for the cash.

The best thing about living in Switzerland are the bike lanes. A sight to behold macha Allah. People use them, and I mean people on bikes.

Saracan: bus lanes are already open to motorcyclists in Bristol and “on trial” in parts of London, such as on the A23 through Brixton. I don’t have a problem with it - I have a problem with idiots who ride motorbikes on footpaths and through pedestrian subways like the one near my house, which is a shared ped/cyclist subway - a dangerous short-cut by stupid and lazy people.

Wonder when us motorcyclists will be pinching a sneak up your lanes. Bus lanes are already becoming fair game for us. I’m proud to say I don’t use cycle lanes, but sometimes use those boxes at the front of traffic lights. Though in some councils they’re already marked for shared use.
