New Q-News is out
The new edition of Q-News, the British Muslim magazine, is out. Issue 366 leads with a feature on Habib Ali Jifri; there is also a tribute to the recently departed wife of Shaikh Ya’qoobi (there is a PDF download of this available), and articles on nasheed artists and the pop culture surrounding some of them (no, not the Yvonne Ridley one), the Sultan’s Elephant, Islamic schools and one sister’s bad experience, Muslims in China, and the notorious “Kurdish quadrupeds”, supposedly our link with the apes, who turned out to be mentally disabled adults who could be taught how to walk with no more than a Zimmer frame and some horizontal bars. If you can’t find it in the shops, you are best off buying online here.
