Hey, don't know your email address, but Mel Phillips is due to be on Radio 5 Live this afternoon (like in a couple of minutes) to speak about Londonistan. I doubt Simon Mayo will challenge the old mare much...

Saracen: as-Salaamu 'alaikum, I actually play with Wordpress quite a bit as part of developing a blogging client, to test whether WP accepts posts it submits or not. I had other problems with WP which weren't linked to spam which led me back to MT, but the main issue was multiple blogs (I have four). MT offers administration from one installation; WP doesn't. That's what led me to MT.

Yusuf, I know this will be a constant battle, but I think it's time to look at Wordpress again. The new Akismet spam plugin is great, and has kept hundreds of spams off my site. For design and themes, Wordpress is fantastic, and being fully open-source, it's supported by a plethora of community-created plugins and addons. I know you're unlikely to change over again, but maybe have a play.
