The Guardian: Going Back to My Roots
This is an interesting article from today’s Guardian about British women of Pakistani origin who are content to settle in Lahore which, despite the oppressive image of Pakistan, “is no Mirpur: it’s a large metropolitan centre” according to Sara Wajid. Among other attractions are fitting in as a Pakistani, with none of the racism that they experienced in England, and excellent career prospects for educated women.
