An interview with Hirsi, anonymous? I dont know, but I may have a Halloween special coming up with a certain somebody from Canada. Its also heartening to see reactionary idiots like thersites show so much false concern for FGM which he presumes it to be an Islamic practice. All at the say so of token colored mascots. Just another rallying cry for far right euro hacks and racists to get behind. If this political prostitute is so concerned about FGM and integration, she ought to submit to a televised gyneacological exam herself and have her papers checked.

Presumably she’s advocating checking for FGM in the course of compulsory intimate physical examinations of all Swedish schoolchildren for signs of sexual abuse in general; she she can’t be saying that FGM’s the only form of abuse about which she’s worried — that would be absurd and leave her wide open to accusations both of taking advantage of bigoted stereotypes and of turning a blind eye to what must be a far more widespread problem in Sweden and most other countries.

“the adolescent girls she wants examined will put up no resistance to the examinations, and will meekly accept them as being for their own good rather than experience them as a form of sexual abuse” Well, some of them will have by having bits chopped off their private parts, whether they put up resistance or not- a rather more drastic form of sexual abuse.

“the doctor uses the examination as an opportunity to carry out sexual abuse” …an everyday occurence, no doubt.

“Even if it happened when the parents or carers took the girl back to their home country for a holiday, the fact that FGM took place does not prove that the parents or carers did it, arranged it or even approved of it. ” No, but it’s pretty good evidence for it, especially if they acquiesced without fuss.

“There are many reported instances of girls undergoing FGM against the wishes of one or both of their parents.” There are some reported instances of girls being mutilated against the wishes of both parents. If that is what the parents claim happened, it would be worth finding out precisely why they took their daughter to a country where things like that happen when she was at an age when things like that might be done to her.

“If the girl volunteers that it has been done and wants whoever did it prosecuted, fine. But in such cases, it would not take an examination.” However, given “that people in general do not like strangers, of either sex, looking at their private parts” and are shy about talking about them anyway and might be even more shy if they’ve been brutally chopped with a broken bottle it could well be that only after an examination the girl would realise that this was horrible and brutal torture and not perfectly normal adult behaviour.

One possible way of deterring the hobby oif chopping bits off their daughters’ genitals might be for the host country to make it plain that that behaviour is locally unacceptable- so unacceptable that anyone who does it will stop being thought of as a welcome immigrant and- if they have acquired citizenship- that they will be deemed to have obtained citizenship under false pretences and deported when they are released from gaol.

So will she also ban girls under the age of 15 from dressing in a sexually provocative manner? Or is that OK?
