The latest edition of the British anti-fascist magazine Searchlight on last month's incident where chemical precursors to explosives were found at a house belonging to a member of the British National Party, which was under-reported in the media because the police sat on the story and claimed that there were reporting restrictions, which there were not. The widespread suspicion is that the lack of any media coverage was because they were white extremists and not Muslims (and let's face it, it's not as if we've ever had such people leaving nail bombs around, is it?). The edition also has an article, not on the website, about the response to Jack Straw's comments about the niqab and attacking the right-wing tabloid response in particular.
Searchlight features Nazi bombs and niqab

the police ... claimed that there were reporting restrictions, which there were not
Could you expand on this? When, over the weekend between the men's arrest and their being charged, did the police claim there were reporting restrictions?
Not a conspiracy I'd think- merely announcing that people are accused of explosive offences is going to attract a lot of attention anyway. From personal information I understand that both are home-made rocket fans- certainly potentially dnagerous but not intentionally so.
Wow Thersites, you're rather dismissive about the BNP terrorist bomb plot. Why am I not surprised.....
...because you're paranoiac, Dr Mabuse, that's why.
I'm "dismissive" of most alleged terrorist bomb plots actually. This isn't, as far as we know, a terrorist bomb plot, but a pair of nutters with a record of practising a dangerous hobby. It may turn out to be a terrorist bomb plot, but until we know more it isn't likely. If there was a conspiracy to conceal it it obviously wasn't very competent and why would the police want to hide the fact that they'd arrested people with BNP connections for explosive offences anyway?
