Has anyone else had 419 scammers try to chat them up using Yahoo (or any other) Messenger? Just now I had some idiot pretending to be one “Dr Lawson Koffi”, whose supposed position of influence I didn’t bother to check, not that it matters because I wasn’t talking to Dr Koffi anyway but to an impersonator sitting in a Lagos cyber café. Anyway I allowed his messages, but then checked my email and found out why someone I did not know had added me to his buddy list. Of course, I know these people can be devious - they often appeal to you as a “brother in Islam” or “brother in Christ” - but it’s the first time someone has tried to bother me on the IM system.

Yes I know very well about the online scammers! I met one from Egypt named Jo Denton or Denton Damas or Jo Adolf or just Joe or whatever else……He has many of them for his different targets ;-)

He is one of them pretending that he is devoted to Christianity by heart only to make you trust his ” innocent ” intentions. If you are muslim then apparently can tell you that he is devoted to Islam !

If you ever get him in a chat he will talk to you in a very polite way. First, he will become your friend and makes you like him. After, he will start bombarding you with love words. He will tell you that he feels alone. He will get your sympathy and heart. He is a sweet talker like all the Egyptian gigolos :-) If you are smart enough you will catch him quite soon. I got his ” Gold-Digg” intentions early so I escaped !!!

He has no life. He is sitting with his face stucked on a screen trying to con innocent women preferably westerners :-)
