Where I live in North London has very good public transport. People used to park in my area and get the tube/bus into central London. Then they brought in residents' parking. But instead of doing what we all wanted, which was to restrict parking between 8 and 10am (commuter parking) they restricted it all day, which is a pain if workmen and other visitors need to park. The worst thing about Ken and the c-charge is the way he decided to extend it to West London against the wishes of just about everyone. But he's not a democrat.
