BBC NEWS | Politics | ‘Ridiculous’ visa rulings set out
The independent monitor of the UK visa service has published a report which outlines some of the stupid reasons why foreigners are refused visas to enter the UK. Among the gobbledegook reasons (“I can only assess your mutual knowledge in a subjective context”), it seems, are tourists rejected for coming here for no other than tourism. You couldn’t make it up.

Finally, such criminal reasons to reject applications. Especially when they cost an arm and leg, particularly for spouse applications etc. I remember my wife getting the most unusual reason for rejecting: “your going to the UK to remain and not return”, even though she had been to the UK twice before and never ‘remained’ and always returned!??! How dumb is that.
Being a tourist is a very good reason for refusing someone a visa to any country.
