Bhutto said OBL murdered

This is a link to a YouTube video of Benazir Bhutto alleging that Osama bin Laden was murdered by one Omar Shaikh - presumed to be Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who was implicated in the murder of Daniel Pearl, the American journalist. Was this a slip of the tongue, and if not, why did David Frost not pick her up on it? (The bit about OBL was cut out of a subsequent BBC rebroadcast of the interview; you can watch the two clips here.)

It's a slip of the tongue - it's clear she's making out that the bloke she's talking about is a terrorist by his hanging out with Omar Sheikh. Her case would not be made by saying that Sheikh killed OBL.

Frost didn't pick up on it because he's so damn slow. We knew that previously from his awful Sunday morning slot on the BBC.

What is scary is how Bhutto could speak so convincingly with no idea of what she was actually saying.

maybe... juuuust maybe...

they edited it because it would of made more confusion to leave it in as people would be like 'oh my God, OBL's dead'. It's not a statement you say in passing. Also to hide the fact David Frost did not pick up on that as any other reporter would.

very interesting. why wasnt she corrected by the interviewer?

she meant to say daniel pearl not OBL i mean she wasnt the sharpest of people God rest her soul but she constantly put her foot in her mouth...i bet mr 10% junior is no better..
