I just looked at the photos, and my first reaction was, ‘Wow!’

She is able to carry herself gracefully in a shalwar kameez and kurta and tunic. Both great outfits.

There is more than a bit of racism in the comments about Mrs. Brown.

Similar comments were seen here in the USA about females in the Presidents traveling group that choose to follow Islamic tradition and cover in the countries where it is common.

It is sad to note that no one had a problem with President Bush wearing a Jewish skullcap in certain Jewish places, but the females with him were attacked for covering in some Muslim places.

A clear sectarian double standard.

The idea that Mrs. Brown appreciates the dress of a culture different from her own is wonderful. I guess borrowing from other cultures is something new?

Nice but the mint trousers could have done with a lining. Have to be careful about these things. The blue one was fine.

Since the first time I saw their clothes on Dame Judy Dench, I’ve liked the work of Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Mrs. Brown’s outfit looks lovely.
