It's good that you reminded me of the viciousness of the State in places such as Zimbabwe and Burma, as I had been feeling rather sorry for myself, feeling harrassed by all the tax demands of our State. The threats of the TV Licencing Authority that now appears in the banner-ad in my Hotmail account irritated me immensely, but pondering the situation of others helps put this more into perspective. That's not to say I don't resent... Good post.
