Oh my, I was just reading her blog the other day! I hope she starts an art website or art blog or something. I really loved reading her Muslim perspective on the art world, and I hope (if she’s reading) she’ll consider a (possibly group?) art blog.

I thought Izzy Mo was A-list because she was a regular blogger who was prominent in the early generation of Muslim bloggers and who posted regularly. She was one of my favourite bloggers.

As-Salaamu ‘alaikum,

My standards for inclusion was that the blogger was of a high profile in the community, or that it was particularly prominent, that it struck a particular chord with me and was regularly updated. I didn’t find that the blogs that remained matched all of those criteria, so I removed the whole category. I might find some way of marking some blogs’ names in bold, but right now, I’ll just leave them where they are.

What was your criteria for including a blog in the A-List? Have standards slipped so much that no other is worthy of special note?

In truth, I think it’s quite wise to drop the category. When I reflected on the praise heaped on a blogger and their sudden departure, I wrote this wee ode:
