These things are never above board, especially considering that the biggest criminal of them all, Goldman Sachs is making a killing(pun intended). As the economy gets worse expect to see more of these domestic 'wag the dog' incidents to increase. AbuS had a heck of a time finding a job when he immigrated to the US, and kept getting job offers as a contract translator in Iraq for $200,000+. Very tempting. It's been awhile since I've read it, but I believe James Yee's book "For God and Country" discusses a bit of the reconciliation of being a muslim in the american military. I think since he's written it though, he's gotten more anti military, and probably now wouldn't think any muslim should be in the military (haven't actually heard him say it, just my impression when I spoke with him about other things).
