A post on Deenport that struck a chord regarding the latest rant by Stephen Schwartz and Irfan Ahmad “al-Alawi” against Shaikh Hamza Yusuf:
On the night of the mi’raj the Prophet(saw) was offered wine or milk and he chose milk
This is the knowledge bequeathed to our ummah through his heirs.I have met sufis, salafis, ikhwanis, tableeghis and they mainly all adore shaykh Hamza. Many non muslims find him fascinating and adorable.
Schwartz and Irfan have lactose intolerance
And the diarrhoea is aplenty

Well you know, Br. Yusuf, it’s a scientific fact that 73% of all Ashkenazi Jews have some form of lactose intolerance.

Salaams Dear:
“mufti of California” loool! That’s a good one!
Hilarious! If “Shaykh” Schwartz has beef with Sidi Hamza, why is he milking this situation and not just mustering up the courage his neo-con self claims it has, and call him up?
He’s jealous that Sidi Hamza is respected by nearly all Sunni Muslims and that Sidi Hamza is far superior to him in both Secular and Islamic knowledge.
Abu Layth….I also see it as jealousy. sabiwabi´s last blog ..Misery, thy Name is…
I could not click on the link you provided when I saw the racist ethnocentric campus-watch.org .
Muslims should not be mixing with these people no matter what, and those who do so should be avoided at all times.
Assalam alaykum
Perhaps they are reaching out to the anti Hamza yusuf fan club, however with neo-con backing the only accalamation they will get from those lot is a Takfeer.
btw is this the same Irfan A who ran the Islamic heritage foundation or something.. well known for anti-wahabbi slideshow propoganda?? Salman´s last blog ..Greeting Non-Muslims on Christmas
Off-topic but I don’t understand how anyone finds Deenport’s site easy on the eye. The small box in the middle with the even smaller boxes inside makes it really hard to navigate. I have visited a couple of times but could not stomach it. Plus the black background? - so nineties.
