What’s up with these online services?

Has anyone else noticed that web services like YouTube and Facebook have become more and more flaky and unreliable the last few weeks? The problem has got worse with Facebook in the last couple of weeks in particular, since their last redesign (which, as ever, actually causes a decline in the quality of the service, not an improvement). The pages are all dynamic, meaning that when you click something, it usually shows up straight away rather than loading another page. However, all too often, they just do nothing, because there’s a loss of connectivity or the entire page/program hasn’t loaded.

Thus, when you click the little X to get rid of a friend or fan suggestion, nothing happens. When you click the “Chat” box, nothing happens. The notifications show up, but don’t disappear when you actually read what they notify you about. Worse, the other day Facebook appeared to have lost the entire thread of a long conversation I’d had with someone, which caused a mixture of panic and anger to rise in me, before checking again a few minutes later to find it was all there after all.

Facebook won many converts from MySpace for many good reasons, among them the fact that the appearance is consistent and always readable and customisation very limited - you don’t ever have to see past someone’s graphical “skin”. Why has it all gone downhill now? Perhaps because too many people are using it? Or just because the latest redesign has not been done right?

YouTube has also had quite a few problems lately, mainly related to the “channels” the user has. Nothing works on the channel pages until all the video thumbnails have loaded. You can’t choose between the uploads and favourites, or watch a video, or do anything until it’s all loaded, and mostly these days it seems to take ages, making the channel pages next to useless. It’s often easier just to Google the channel owner’s nickname and then click through to the video you want. Your YouTube homepage also has similar problems to Facebook, such as the “X” buttons (to make video recommendations go away) which simply do nothing. It all makes using the services extremely frustrating, but I guess they don’t have much competition at the moment, so there’s no great rush to fix the problem.

lol, they suspended my account for no apparent reason. I thought that only happened to paedophiles, but I googled only to find loads more people like me.

I think frustrating people is part of the business, so people would go away and come back to give them more information about themselves i.e with new emails and other up to date info. Reminds me those silly requests to delete cookies and temporary files made by remote assistants, while they seek assistance from their managers; waste of time and I honestly don’t see what fb has added to my life. So I am out!

Facebook is run by Zionists and its founder is a Jew. The primary purpose of Facebook is to raise money for Israel and the secondary purpose is for the authorities, including the CIA and Mossad, to monitor people and what they say.

I remember reading somewhere that the Jewish Internet Defense Force dismantled a Palestinian group on Facebook. They did this via back doors in the software installed for this purpose. No supporter of Palestine, or even any Muslims, should ever use Facebook.

Is there anything that Facebook does that other software doesn’t do? Personally I think Facebook is for people too lazy to set up their own websites or discussion forums with software like phpBB.

    Dear Old Pickler

    Please do some research.

Funny how wrong people always get themselves into the wrong places. It will all work out in the future when they are forced to make their members pay for using facebook. Mind you though, that place is full of honey traps for stupid Muslims esp the ones who are into HT. Be careful of female profiles with hijabi model pics, posting opinions encouraging the killing of apostates.

The above issue always attracts certain dumbo and naive people to embarrass us all because they will just brand them “Muslims” as usual.

    greetings

@old pickler- Are you sure that you dont want to change to ‘senile pickler’.

The whole google/youtube/facebook/wikipedia nexus is a cia/mossad/zionist operation.Everybody and his dog knows this. Just look at the pro neocon bias in wikipedia and take a cursory dip into the financing of google. Half if not all of silicon valley is financed by cia/pentagon money and most of it is not even hidden. The cia satellite mapping software formerly known as keyhole is now known as google earth. The ADL is a publically known arm of the israHELLy government.

I suppose most cocaine does not come from latin america because that would be a conspiracy theory.

I think people spend way too much time online as it is. Get out of the house, get physically active, visit friends and family and enjoy life in the real world.

This is off topic, (well, sort of) but i thought some of your readers might be interested in this website http://vigilantcitizen.com/ it discusses the heavy use of satanic symbolism and the symbolism of mind control in popular music. The recent discussion on lady gagas’s video “telephone” (and no I’m not a fan, I actually consider music haram) has received over 1,500 comments. Although the site is run by a christian, he writes from a pro-faith perspective and is concerned with the damaging effect of popular culture on young minds. http://vigilantcitizen.com/?p=3423

    As-Salaamu ‘alaikum,

Africana, I don’t really have much time for that kind of Illuminati nonsense. I can’t understand why Muslims are so keen on these theories, whether or not they originate among Muslims. I thought the stuff that was doing the rounds in the 1990s about satanic messages being back-tracked into Eagles songs was ridiculous as well, by the way. Lady Gaga’s video is indecent trash; let’s leave it at that.

Best policy is to keep away from sh*t, and you will be safe from Satan. Where are those Russian devils branded Tatu now?

There is only so much symbols and publicity can do I am afraid. All things must go back to their origin.

assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakhatahu,

    @indigo jo,

in regards to the back masking i remember when i first came across the site dubai buzz in 2001 (i was pretty late in getting acquainted with it all).what interests me about the newer analysis’ of contemporary culture is that it goes into so much more depth. seemingly straightforward pop songs are clearly about demonic possession and in the case of gaga, the religion of the ancient egyptians. that silly chant she apparently does is quite possibly a hommage to the sun god “ra”, if you take into account all the other references to ancient egypt. this i it’s just an added dimension you can introduce when talking about why you reject pop culture.

that said, i couldn’t care less about the illuminati myself. It’s Allah who rules the world.

of course, this is your blog and i respect that so be assured i won’t be posting any other such links.

    @leeds lad,

tatu? vaguely remember hearing something about them. i don’t know any of the “artists” who have emerged in the last 10 years. it’s only in the last few weeks that i’ve put a face to jay-z, beyonce (who are apparently both reference satan by means of hand symbols…ok,ok i’ll shaddup now!)

Thank you for showing the ignorance of jew-hate and the absolute insanity of minds that can embrace such nonsense as posted by Risbrook- great job commenters- you should get a comedy award for this— whoever posted NUTTERS —-yes!

Why is it that when something critical is said about Jews or Jewish interests, so many Jews take it personally?

  • Isahiah62

why is it morons like you continue to speak as if Protocols of Zion is real and not a fiction? and believe some fantasy of cabals and conspiracies made up by a man who thinks people are LIAZRDS from outer space- David Ickes?

  • M Risbrook

The Zionist movement is very powerful and many Zionists hold the attitude that anti-Zionism = anti-Semitism.

  • George Carty

On anti-semitism, I think it’s worth quoting a post by Yahya on the MPACUK forum:

The Protocols are forged documents. This has been demonstrated beyond doubt. To refer to them is nothing more than slander and lies and unbecoming to any Muslim except in ignorance. Support for the Protocols and Holocaust denial is limited in the West to neo-Nazi groups. We gain nothing by giving these people credibility. Next time it will be Muslims in the ovens, as well as Jews, so why hand them a lighted match? Within the Muslim world there is an understandable desire to debunk the Zionist guilt trip and even prove the Jews to be behind some sort of conspiracy. The purpose of all this is to go to Western governments cap in hand and beg them not to be “fooled by the Jews” anymore. If we think that will work then we’re the fools. The solution to our problem lays in organising ourselves not blaming the Jews. If there wasn’t one Jew left on Earth we’d be in no better state if we did nothing else. And lastly, what about those Jews who’ve done nothing wrong? If through our actions we stir up hatred against them, incite violence against them, or make false accusation towards them then we we share in the sin of any who hurt them. Of all people, Muslims should understand the power of slander and lies to injure the innocent.

Where did I say that I believed in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion? I don’t see why connections need to be made between a document that is over 100 years old and the heavy Jewish or Zionist influence over prominent websites.

I don’t believe everything written by MPACUK either. It is a very pro-establishment outfit.

  • Isahiah62

Where did I say that I believed in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion?

don’t you even know where your conspiracy theory originates? the idea that Jews have some secret control of media and the world govts?

open mouth- prove ignorance!! keep going- it’s quite amusing…

“When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You are talking anti-Semitism.”. Martin Luther King

  • M Risbrook

I’ve heard all that about Zionists passing off their actions as conspiracy theories originating in The Protocols of the Elders of Zion many times before. Nothing is new. It’s getting to the point where I’m thinking that The Protocols of the Elders of Zion was deliberately written as a pile of bullshit by Zionists themselves in order to cover up their actions.

Zionists and Jews are two different things. Did you know that there are more Hindu Zionists that Jewish Zionists?

There are still vast swathes of the media and several world governments with very little Jewish or Zionist influence.
