A fifth release candidate of version 1.0 of K3b, the CD/DVD ripping and burning application for KDE, has been released. This version includes Cdrkit support and improved device capabilities with detection for drives with buggy firmware, particularly Plextor. Screenshots here, downloads (source only) here. Requires KDE 3.2. Stable version is 0.12.17 (same download location).
