KSquirrel and libraries v0.7.1 released

From KDE Apps:

Version 0.7.1 of KSquirrel, an image viewer for KDE which uses OpenGL, and its associated libraries have been released. Changes to the application include:

  • Context menu in file manager has proper content (bug affected KDE 3.5)
  • KIO-Slaves support (SMB, tar etc), adding the ability to search several new archive types
  • Thumbnails on non-local filesystems
  • Status bar improvements
  • Hotkeys in image window do not depend on keyboard layout
  • History combo-box shows MIME types
  • Bug-fixes in slideshow
  • New thumbnails cache directory (remove old thumbnails from ~/.ksquirrel/thumbnails)
  • Image rotation with EXIF
  • KIPI plugins can be loaded on demand
  • F2 to rename files
  • Thumbnail loader now Freedesktop.org spec compliant
  • Other small bug-fixes

Changes to the libraries:

  • Added XFIG (transfig package is required)
  • Added Degas PI3
  • TTF codec is designed for Freetype 2.2.1 (it should work at least in Debian Etch)
  • CAMERA codec now uses dcraw v8.77 without modifications, which doesn't violate dcraw license
  • Bug-fixes in scripts
