Squish v3.3 released

Froglogic have announced the release of v3.3 of Squish, its application testing tool. The full new feature list is here. Major new features affecting Qt developers:

  • Highly improved object map editor including live object map maintenance while the Spy is running
  • Generic script APIs for object and type introspection
  • New waitForObjectItem() function for improved synchronization of item view widgets
  • Script API to switch on saving a screenshot on every test failure and/or error
  • Support for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
  • Support for testing (record and replay) of native Win32 controls (MFC, ActiveX, etc.) in Qt applications (embedded or as toplevel widgets and dialogs)
  • Dedicated record & replay support for QGraphicsView-based controls
  • Simpified setup procedure for tests attaching to a running application
  • Qt Jambi support
  • Improved robust recording for some widgets such as QComboBox
