Version 11 of the Fedora Linux distribution, codenamed Leonidas, has been released. This version features KDE v4.2.2 and Qt v4.5.0 (you can usually get up to date packages through the standard update channel, unlike with Debian-type distros). It also features ext4 as the default file system, automatic font and mime-type installation, installation of delta packages rather than full packages when upgrading (Presto), I-Bus for faster input of Asian languages, and support for Intel and nVidia cards, and more ATi cards than were previously supported, for graphical booting (see release notes for more details). Downloads can be found here; they include Ubuntu-like live "desktop" CDs, upgrade DVDs, full binary DVDs and various BitTorrent options. Intel (Pentium or later) and PPC (G3 or later) are supported.
