Qt Software and Maemo, both divisions of Nokia, have been announced as the sponsors of the upcoming Gran Canaria Desktop Summit, the joint conference of the GNOME and KDE desktops. (Maemo is a GTK-based API for embedded devices such as the Nokia internet tablets.) The summit is to take place in two locations in Las Palmas, GC, from 3rd to 11th July 2009.
