OSNews: KDE 4.3 Shaping Up Nicely, KWin Needs Work
Thom Holwerda of OSNews reviews the latest release candidate of KDE (4.3 rc3) and finds that the Air theme is an improvement on the current Oxygen, Konqueror has been improved in both speed and rendering accuracy, and that there is better "overall polish" although there are still some problems, such as not letting you drag a file to a protected area (such as a YUM repository file) and slow window dragging in KWin. He also said he "found a home" in the Fedora 11 version of KDE 4, which has been my experience as well, contrary to the GNOME-centric Fedora stereotype. He also observes that KDE 4 "separates the men from the boys" among Linux distributors, with some being unable to handle it.
