OpenSUSE to have KDE as default desktop

The default desktop in OpenSUSE Linux will be KDE as of version 11.2, following discussion within the community which found that KDE was the preferred desktop of most users of the distro. GNOME will not be removed; what this means is that if the user accepts the defaults, KDE and not GNOME will be installed.

Qt Software becomes Qt Development Frameworks

The name of the Qt Software division of Nokia has changed to Qt Development Frameworks, for reasons explained in the above post. The division's Twitter feed is to change to @qtbynokia.
