{"id":703,"date":"2006-06-18T22:33:09","date_gmt":"2006-06-18T21:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.blogistan.co.uk\/ijwp\/mt.php\/2006\/06\/18\/forest_gate_source_has_iq_of_69"},"modified":"2025-10-10T20:51:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-10T19:51:16","slug":"forest_gate_source_has_iq_of_69","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.blogistan.co.uk\/blog\/mt.php\/2006\/06\/18\/forest_gate_source_has_iq_of_69","title":{"rendered":"Forest Gate source &#8220;has IQ of 69&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a title=\"Independent Online Edition> Crime&#8221; href=&#8221;http:\/\/news.independent.co.uk\/uk\/crime\/article1090195.ece&#8221;>this report<\/a> in today&#39;s <em>Independent<\/em>, the source of the &quot;intelligence&quot; for the Forest Gate raid was a prisoner in Belmarsh with an IQ of 69:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nIn what could prove to be highly embarrassing for the police and security services, the 22-year-old man, who has an IQ of just 69, was the trigger behind the dawn raid this month, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sundaymirror.co.uk\/news\/news\/tm_objectid=17249190&#038;method=full&#038;siteid=62484-name_page.html\">Sunday Mirror<\/a>.<br \/>\nThe former waiter, a childhood friend of the two brothers who were arrested during the raid two weeks ago, was jailed for six years in January for terror offences.<br \/>\nThe paper has been told that it was after friends of Mohammed Abdul Kahar, 23, and Abul Koyair, 20, visited the man in top-security Belmarsh prison that the brothers were put under surveillance.<br \/>\nThe brothers reportedly laughed off the fact that they were being followed by the security services. New information passed to the services, said to include detailed drawings of a suicide vest, led to Operation Volga and the early morning moves to arrest the pair, the paper claims.<br \/>\nFriends of the brothers told the paper they believe the man was the trigger for the operation that culminated in 250 police officers descending on their home.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So, perhaps the gullibility which commonly affects people with very low intelligence might have been a factor in his being persuaded to tell whatever he told about the brothers that led to the raid?  I mean, how can anyone take something such a person says seriously anyway?
