Beslan and the servile Russian media
A report from today’s Guardian, on how the Russian media, much of it owned by establishment figures who are trying to curry favour with Putin’s gang. The author of this report was the victim of an attempted poisoning after she announced that she was going to the Caucasus to persuade Aslan Maskhadov to intervene in the Beslan siege last week. (If this is how they treat anyone they see as a dissident, how can anyone trust them in Chechenia?)
