Fudged answers on Iran
I’ve just been watching the BBC’s Question Time and watched a British politician fudge an answer on whether the UK would support a US invasion of Iran. Jack Straw was quoted earlier by the BBC as saying:
I don’t see any circumstances in which military action would be justified against Iran, full stop.
Yet the panellists on Question Time failed to answer the question of whether British troops would be sent if the US did decide to take action against Iranian nukes. It was suggested that it would take a few minutes from the air, and perhaps Israel could do the job!
Remember British politicians did not say they’d go into Iraq until it looked like Bush and co were going to go in. Just so you know.
